Solander box in marbled quarter Moroccan presentation and foil blocking. On the inside of the solander there will be a blind embossed AP logo placed in the velvet. The book itself will be swathed in black goat leather, while the book block will consist of a higher quality paper than that which the standard was printed on.

Also, the deluxe edition will comprise of two foil block colours, marbled endpapers, book ribbon, head and tail bands, foil blocking on the inside casement front and back, and each book will also come with its own unique piece of sigillic artwork by Carolyn Hamilton-Giles. Each piece of artwork will bind an aspect of the volume into that specific copy.

The 3rd volume bears the title Ad Altáre Draconis - To the Altar of the Dragon, and specifically concentrates on the making of an altar from the perspective of aestheticism. The focus is therefore on the dextral horn of the Black Dragon and comes with the idea of being compelled, through the construction of the altar, to portray relevant beliefs that pertain to the relationship we feel we have to the Black Dragon.

Some of what is discussed is biographical while other parts touch on the authors work with Andrew Chumbley during the making of the Dragon Book of Essex, which is an undeniable source for the entire series, though it should be added this is always from the perspective of its co-founder Peter and the interplay of ideas they had at the time. There is consequently another aspect to this book which is it resonates a broader applicability for all those outside the confines of the Black Dragon series who may be curious to navigate and implement the construction of an altar.
